About the SLSS

The South Lake Sailing School (SLSS) is a non-profit organization singularly focused on teaching sailing. It operates on the same grounds as the Cedar Lake Yacht Club. 

Teens and adults are taught the basics of small vessel sailing with the emphasis being on-the-water application using a variety of crafts such as Butterfly, Capri, Sunfish, Hobi-Cat and small sloops.  The seven-week course is conducted Saturday mornings in June and July.  A nominal fee is required of each student which then is used to maintain the school boats.
